El Paso’s Largest Arts & Craft Fair Readies for June Return

0 0

City-sponsored in-person events put on pause because of coronavirus have been making a comeback.

The children’s literacy event Día de los Niños/Día de los Libros made a successful return this spring, and most recently the downtown free music series Alfresco Fridays has been drawing crowds again. And now, after a two-year pandemic interruption, Art in the Park is making a colorful return at the end of this month.

If you like handmade jewelry, artwork, and homemade soaps and jams then you’ll want to do some shopping, strolling and socializing at Art in the Park June 25-26 at Memorial Park.

The city’s oldest and longest-running arts and crafts fair focuses on local arts and crafts vendors selling their unique wares, and this year there will be over 60 of them according to El Paso Parks and Recreation.

The two-day event will also feature numerous local food trucks, continuous live entertainment, hands-on installations and activities for the kids, live art exhibits, and a pop-up by Las Artistas.

Las Artistas is an El Paso non-profit that provides arts education opportunities and promotes an appreciation for arts and crafts in our region.
