El Paso’s Largest Arts & Craft Fair Readies for May Return

0 0

The date for this year’s Art in the Park is set.

The City of El Paso Museums and Cultural Affairs Department (MCAD) in partnership with the City of El Paso Parks and Recreation Department will host
the city’s oldest and longest-running arts and crafts fair the first weekend in May.

Art in the Park is where lovers of all things artsy and crafty have been going for years to shop, stroll, and socialize.

The two-day event focuses on local arts and crafts vendors selling their unique wares, and also feature numerous local food trucks, continuous live entertainment, and activities for the kids.

The free-to-attend weekend-long event will return to the Memorial Park Reserve in Central El Paso, at 1701 N. Copia.

Visit the Rose Garden

After (or before) Art in the Park, visit the El Paso Municipal Rose Garden which is located just down the road from Memorial Park.

The rose garden is one of our city’s more beautiful public areas and a hidden gem worthy of your discovery. Those looking to walk among nature will find an unlikely mini oasis in the middle of the city that features a small waterfall, Koi Pond, over 400 types of roses, and an average of 1,500 rose bushes.

Not only is it visually stunning and a peaceful place to sit and Zen out for a bit, it is also one of only 117 certified rose gardens in the entire United States.
